Lawless Creeds: ::He stepped out forward slowly. As he walked his fingers seemed to twitch. The sign of a man ready for a quick draw. He was wearing a nicely trimmed silk suit and a black duster. His wide brimmed hat was black as well and he had it tipped low over his his eyes. There was a cigarette in his lips and he took a slow drag before he spoke:: I'm new to these parts... your name came up once or twice in conversation...

Akari Chapelo: ::She'd been lounging about in various areas that night. Surveying the scene in all her blending charisma, perhaps mistaken for mortal beneath the usual dress of an appropriately side-slit dress of black wool.
Akari Chapelo: The tall, slenderous woman of pale flesh and liquid black eyes stood at the approach of this country toned individual. Having been spoken to, she'd ran three fingers of her right hand over the lapel of an awkwardly deep colored frock coat. The small recognition given by the bow of her head signaled for the man to speak further. When Akari's name randomly came up in conversation, it was never good news. Who have I killed this time? Random thoughts penetrated her mind. Her right leg stretched out and crossed over the other while she stood, perfectly postured in her form.:: Oh?

Lawless Creeds: ::His stance relaxed at that point. His arms began to move freely. Leaving his sides and then reaching up to pull the cigarette from his lips. He looked this woman over for a moment. She was strange yet delightfully intimidating. Tilting his hat up slowly so that he might be able to look into her eyes more closely he spoke on:: I have been traveling many a miles to get this far and alass as I have reached the end of my journey I have reached a land so full of potential but so d evoid of ambition and beauty. What has happened here? Where have all the poeple gone... ?

Akari Chapelo: ::His words meant little to the old one. Old? Yes, quite. He would not have noticed that now, however. Her face appeared to transform suddenly, having been blessed with several expressionative lines around each oculi and several about the forehead, which was conventiently shrouded in a thick mass of cobalt bangs. A moment had passed while she had taken spare time, pausing in wait when her senses had already mustered a solution. He may have thought it strange for her to answer in such a quick paced manner. Rather more so human to ponder a question, then speak after having thought through it. Truth be told, the others had moved on. Fear from those who could perhaps glance at their very beings, then light them up in flames much like a Roman candle. The elders, the vampires. Those lush, pallid lips formed a pursing smirk for less than a second's time, when suddenly her face began utterly smooth and ageless once more. Not a trace of blemish, those that most gathered over time, delicate creases in the skin. Lands were barren, and most inhabitants had scattered to replenish their old homes. The little dive they currently stood in primarily stood housing criminals and bizarre creatures one would flee from in the time spanse of a heart beat. Silence had been her native tongue, and it wasn't like Akari to build relationship with her food. If this one wanted information, it would be limited:: They're gone. Simply rushed away like swind sweeping them off. Food had been plentiful for a long while, until the plaque of death came through. And no, we're not discussing an odd disease. Rather a swarm of form possessing infections that are here for little purpose. ::Onyx eyes kept trained on the lad's hands. Gunslinging was one of her specialties, actually. Even the prince of the projectile art had been gracious enough to educate her on the ways of the revolvers. It would prove to be entertaining if he'd chosen to take a shot at her, truly amusing.::

Lawless Creeds: Gone ::The words echoed within the recesses of his mind. So long he had traveled to come to this fabled land of oportunity. A world where a lone warrior could build a nation a make a comfortable life for himself and his family under the power of his own will and skill. He had trained hard to make it across the endless deserts bridging the huge gaps between this world and the next. The destert had killed his stead and almost killed him. Only three days ago he had come into town and his parched skin and red forhead had no even healed over yet. If this place was so hard to find then he could not be expecting more poeple, not for a long while:: I came here looking for a life and it would seem all I have found is more death. Now I have no where to go, ::He stood there for a moment. His eyes were wise and his fingers were caloused. Yes, he was human, but a human possesssed of such determination, such heart, that even the creatures of the out lining desert could not fall him after months of walking and days without water. He looked towards the sky and then took the cigarette he had been talking through out of his mouth. He blew two rings and then pushed his hat back over his head. It fell behind him and then stopped falling as his other hand caught it behind his back. His face lightened and his eyes looked back:: Did I introduce myself? The names Lawless, Lawless Creeds... and yes that IS my real name... ::he bowed smoothly and then looked up looking for an introduction likewise::

Akari Chapelo: ::The woman had a gentlemanly quality about herself, never would she allow herself to become slave to the subserviant manner which most women obeyed by, regardless of their acclaimed triumph for equality. They were still the lowly sex of the human race, as she saw it. And those who fought at levels which male warriors could usually only endure, Akari would gladly applaud, abruptly following up by severing their feminine little craniums clean from their neck and vertabrae. Should have been less trusting to the others of your own gender. They'd gladly turn on you if time proved convenient. Something that built her personality had always been lack of trust. Though what reasons were there for her to assume others honest, when she hadn't even trusted herself? Amid the shaded recesses of wherever they'd stood, Akari stirred in her eerily correct stance of a straight line. Perfectly mimicking his very actions, in a nearly humorous manner afterwards, as it had seemed, she mimed the dropping of an invisible hat atop her head, catching it from behind, followed suit with the imitation of a smooth bow. The accuracy of her introduction might have been perculiar had he noticed her preciseness. She then spoke the full title of her name in French first, and once again in English.:: Akari Chapélo. That is also my real name. ::A thin eyebrow rose from above her left eye, only a smidge. Playing with mortals, oh the tiresome games she would put them through, even if such behavior did resemble a fledgling's.::

Lawless Creeds: ::He looked her over with eyes that could penetrate steal. He could see her judging him. Her eyes could not hide her delight in his own bewilderment. He noticed all things. It wasn't that he was paranoid or evil by nature and there fore knowing evil things when he saw them. It wasn't that he could smell evil in her blood and therefore was less humane towards her. It was simply that he could tell she thought of herself as something better than a mortal or even perhaps just all things. Perhaps she was. Perhaps her inbred powers as something other than a mortal gave her a skill from birth that made her inately stronger, living longer or even just a faster learner. But he had trained long to reach his level of power. A power over himself that allowed a power over the elements around him. His own controle over his own movements, pain and mind letting him reach a level of skill that pushed this controle onto other poeple . Her stiff movements and cold voice told him a mountain of truth that he himself did not have to ask for to actually use. His own body stiffened. He himself did not know why this land was so cold, but this beings heart was even colder than the land he had stumbled across. The poeple in the tavern said she was old, an old head was how they described her. He had never thought she would be this cold though. He put his own hat on his head and his smile faded. He knew much now, about this land and the remaining poeple in it. She was one who enjoyed looking down on the weaknesses of poeple rather than helping them and ecouraging thier strengths. This was not something he needed this early in his own lifes game:: He tilted the hat back over his eyes and put the cigarette back in his teeth. his arms stiffened, ready for anything and by his side once again:: You seem like a very interesting... ::he did not know how to finish the sentance for in truth he did not want to finish the sentance. He could tell she was insincere and thus his own sincerity was unwanted and unapreciated. In his line of work lying and caniving did not come easy. He was a simple man and to the facts and this woman or beast of thing was not like him and did not apreciate his honestly or humanity:: I'll be on my way then? ::He smiled and turned about walking off in no particular direction::

Akari Chapelo: ::And old head.. The words had made her squint her eyes a little as ge'd turned away, repeating it to herself in a very soft, quiet voice. Though she wasn't sure if he could hear her or not. Repeating the words. Who had been alive at this time that still knew of her? Akari unsquinted from such mortal expressions and continued watching him walk along. She was never too sympathetic for humans. She had never liked them. Their smell, the way they moved, the way they chose to live their lives. This one had been like many others. It had almost made her feel badly about being so ignoble.:: Sir Creeds..! ::That velvetty, melodic voice rang out after him, but quickly managed to die down after he'd stepped dozens of yards away. Surely she was able to raise her voice to reach him, even make it seem as though she'd been whispering in his ear not an inch away, but there seemed to be no use for helping. She wouldn't. Almost. What an insane vampiric creature could do for a tired, pure soul, Akari had not known, yet through his travels it was deathly apparent to her that he would desperately need food and shelter, unless he hadn't already accommodated himself with such luxuries she assumed them to be for a desert wanderer who'd lost his horse to the stinging heat of the desert. A frown played her lips.::

Lawless Creeds: :He heard her voice. It sounded different this time. Like she might be of a different nature. A stone with a warm center perhaps. He could not be sure and in his state right now he would not be able to deffend himself to find out. he just couldn't risk it. It was obvisous this land was full of malicious poeple. Most of the lone travelers he had run across had tried to battle him in some form or another. One huntress tried to eat him as he asked her where the nearest town was. No, this was no time nor place to start talking or befreinding such poeple with malice in thier heart or deception in thier eyes. He was in search of simple hospitality right now. The blood in his boot had started to seep into the ground and he hoped it would not bring the hell hounds he had lost earlier the night before. They forced him to sleep in a tree. The blisters had gotten bad but not bad enough so that the gunslinger could not finish his walk to the inn. He had faith in himself. He had come this far. He could make it the rest of the way::
