Welcome to my site, today is: Tuesday, August 01, 2000

8/2/00: Hi all! Welcome to version 3.2 of my web sit. I'm getting closer to what I want but in the early stages of this sort of stuff you have to go through the development stage. I tried to use Frontpage 2000 and had a fully functioning site in no time but technical incompatibilities with Geocities resulted in me taking the time to learn HTML and a little Java. In retrospect I'm glad it worked out that way. I've wanted to learn this stuff anyway.

So anyway, things have been going well for me and the family. The kids are getting so big so quickly it's just hard to believe. It seems like yesterday we were feeding them bottles and now I have to share the computer with them. We took a family trip to Cedar Point. Go to the Pictures page for a photo of me and Ryan on the Snoopy Rollercoaster. This trip was the first time the kids have been to an amusement park. It really got them excited for Disney next year.

As for work, I'm still doing the Planning for GM's Worldwide Facilities Group. It's interesting work but I want to look around for something a little more challenging. I like it when no one thinks it can be done. That's when I really enjoy digging in and making things happen. I'll keep you posted on how my job search is going. Maybe it's just a mid-life crisis thing.

I'm looking forward to this fall when I'll be going back up to Dave's cabin for bowhunting. Ryan is going with me this time which should make for an interesting couple of days. I'm practically guaranteed to not get a deer since he can't sit still for 2 sec. but we're both excited about his first hunting camp trip. In Nov. I'll be going up to Bucky's place again for rifle, once again practically guaranteeing a deerless season but it's so nice up there you just can't turn it down. Well, that's all for now. Thanks for stopping and come back soon.

Hausbroken

ps. Why the name Hausbroken you ask? Well, there was some concern raised about me providing pictures of the kids online along with our last name. So in an effort to protect the innocent I chose a name.
