My great-great-grandmother, Ellen BRENNAN FOYLE, was
the daughter of Patrick and Margaret DAILEY BRENNAN.
They were all residents of Heckscherville, Cass
Township.

Because of the abundance of Patrick Brennans in the
Heckscherville / Cass Township area, I'm kind of
stuck.  In 1850, I did find a Margaret BRENNAN, a
widow, raising several children in Heckscherville, one
of them being a daughter, Ellen.  Not sure if this is
who I want it to be, but I am working on it.

I also have a great-aunt, Rosanna FOYLE of
Heckscherville, who married a Patrick BRENNAN and they
lived in Buck Run, Cass/Foster Township.  This Patrick
BRENNAN apparently murdered his mining boss (around
1924?) and then killed himself, leaving his wife to
raise their 5 children (plus the one she was pregnant
with at the time of the murder/suicide.)  Because of
the "scandal" associated with this entire situation, I
have not been able to obtain much information from any
of my distant cousins. (Not for lack of trying.)  No
one likes to talk about it.  (All I want is the date
it occurred so I can get copies of the newspaper
articles about the crime.)
