True Love
Knelt before the burning fire,
the dark elf's eyes glow with passion.
For in that fire he saw himself,
tormented by his past, forever burning inside.
A lone tear finds it's way down his cheek,
a single tear for everyone whose blood was shed that night.
Frustrated he pulls himself to his feet,
whipping himself around only to stop.
Standing in front of him,
the woman of his life stares at him concerned.
His hands fall into hers,
and it was as if the gods themselves had wiped the fears away.
He knew why he had fallen in love,
for if he hadn't, those fires might've consumed him.
