We would first of all, like to introduce ourselves & tell you a little bit about each of us & the ministry as well. We are a family of four, Dan, Jaquetta, Aaron, and Corby Walterscheid. All of us are natives of the great southwest! Jaquetta is originally from Farwell, Dan is from Carlsbad, NM, while Aaron & Corby also have lived here since birth. Aaron is quite the artist of the family, loves to draw, create and invent new gadgets!! Aaron is a Boy Scout, currently working on his Eagle Scout achievements, learning to ski & repelling are just some of his accomplishments. Corby is a video game junkie, excellent on the computer, loves chess, and other board games, and quite a gymnastic & a builder, and an avid rock hound like his Mom! Corby is also in scouts; he is currently a Wolf Cub Scout. We have been on several scouting trips involving both our sons, from repelling skiing, camping & hiking. Jaquetta is usually occupied in arts & craft making & her jelly. Jaquetta is a recent graduate from E.N.M.U. (Eastern NM University), with a Bachelor of University Studies, and is still persuing interests toward Elementary Education. Dan is usually found on the computer building web pages, and talking on the ham "amatuer" radio, call sign, KB5ZJO. He also enjoys the great outdoors, nature, horticulture, planting, transplanting, and propagating cactus in the greenhouse, or tinkering with electronic gadgets!

We are the family of interesting talents from homeade jelly making, camping & hiking, cactus collecting-propagation, xeriscaping, ministry work, and even PlantsPeculiar as a personal business and Plant a Promise Ministries. We feel quite blessed with the talents that God has richly given us and are excited with the opportunities the Lord is using us in presently!

Plant a Promise Ministries, a division of PlantsPeculiar, is an outreach organization dedicated to giving God the glory and lifting up the name of Jesus through desert dish gardens and other unique gifts that both edify those to whom they are given, and encourage those who need a special touch of the Lord's love and Word. We encourage you to call us or contact us by mail or E-mail if you know someone who is hurting, has a specific need, touch someone who is lost, a friend or relative who's lost a loved one, and as a gift of celebration, whether it be a birthday, anniversary, holiday, graduation, wedding or baby shower, or just any special occasion to surprise someone!

Jaquetta's Jellies is also here to serve as both a ministry need or as a warm original gift for that special person on your mind treasured as a friend or relative. Jaquetta is very talented when it comes to creative gift ideas, country crafts, sewing, cross-stitch, and other home interior "art from the heart" suggestions!
