The Large Water Garden

This was taken in June, 1999. The plants are just starting to get going here in Colorado. The red canna lily blooming in this picture is sitting in the lower of two 100 gallon pools that make up the water fall. It was overwintered in the garage in a 5 gallon bucket and then put into the cold frame in March, where it grew very well until the beginning of June when I moved it to the pond.

Here's a head-on picture of the water garden, taken June 1999. The miniature cattails, blue rush and sweet galingale are already growing very quickly.

Here's a picture taken at the same time as the first two, showing how the water garden fits in with the rest of the terracing.
