The Stream

The stream flows out of the upper 150 gallon pond into the lower 800 gallon pond. The stream is lined with leftover 60 mil EPDM from building the lower pond. Rocks from the Rocky Mountains nearby were used on the sides of the stream and the bed of the stream is lined with flag stone. Some pea gravel was scattered in between the flag stone to hide the liner. The nice thing about this setup is that the flag stone lays nice and flat against the EPDM so the water can be seen flowing over the flag stone and gravel rather than under it, even though the flow is rather low.

Here it is flowing into one of the 100 gallon pools that make up the water fall of the lower pond. Great Stuff insulation foam was used to fill in the gaps on the sides of this little flag stone water fall.
