Around July, 1998, after the 800 gallon pond was installed, this 150 gallon pre-formed pond was put in. This picture was taken in June 1999 shortly after the stream connecting this upper pond and the lower pond was completed. The area off to the right still needs work done around the barrel liner and plants planted.

In this picture you can see the stream leaving the pond in the upper left.

Here's a picture taken while working on installing the barrel liner veggie filter. The barrel liner needed more support than just the earth around it so it was placed in a plastic imitation whiskey barrel.

In the picture below taken in October of 1998, the plants have been cut back and a net put over the top to keep falling leaves out. The bricks are holding the net down. There's still alot of landscaping to be done around the pond.

Pond Statistics:

• Pump: Maxi-Jet MJ 1000 206 GPH placed into a submersed pot filled with lava rock to act as a biological filter. A foam filter pad is used for mechanical filtration.
• Fish - an uncountable number of guppies.
• Depth - 18 inches in the center.
• Liner - hard preformed shell.
• pH - usually around 8.5
