Just following with german tradition,braking a bottle of Korn (schnaps) on the house ,then nailing a 6 inch spike into the wood and the guests bring salt and bread at the "Richtfest" for good luck! This was the summer of 95.
I would like to thank my family (Simone,Jason) and my wife`s family for the extra work that they had put in to help building our house.It took appr. 9 months from start to finish .My family and I built over 90% of the house ourselves by hand.Mostly without the equipment that the professionals use . It took us a little longer and it was a little harder,but we got it done.
It was especially demanding after working all day and then going to the house every day to work for all of us.
So once again I would like to deeply show my appreciation for the help that was well done and say:
"thank you."
