The exterior second floor walls are completed in the turret area.  Care is taken to insure that the upstairs windows line up exactly with the downstairs windows.

The folks arrive for a week of cheap labor.  Dad cuts 2X4s for the second story interior wall plates, trimmers and 2X6s for the door headers.

Before we build the interior walls, we layout the wall locations with chalked lines and measure all cuts exactly in case they don't match the plans precisely.  These walls are easy to build and stand; there are few wall openings and the walls are pretty light since they are 2X4.

Mom helps too.  The shop area is spic-and-span and all the cut lumber is organized.

Some time is reserved for fun and games during the visit.
