About MB's Cooking Club
In January 1999, I got my first computer. I was excited when I discovered Yahoo! Clubs. I joined many cooking clubs, and one Boyds Bears Club.
I made a few very good friends at the Boyds Club, but was very disappointed in the inactivity in all of the cooking clubs. Days would pass with absolutely no activity at all.
I was discussing this with Brooke (aka wildstraw) one day and kiddingly said that I should start my own club. Brooke encouraged me to do it.
I was so new to computers and the internet I was not sure where to start.
Brooke set it all up, and my head has been spinning with ideas ever since.
Cooking has always been a love of mine, and now the computer too.
MB's success is greater than we could have imagined in just 10 months. Let's hope that 2000 will bring more great people together!.

Do you have regular Chat times?
MB's has a scheduled chat night on Wednesday evenings at 9:00pm (EST)
How can I organize all my recipes?
There have been alot of different ideas discussed at MB's. This is what I find the easiest for me. I print out right from the club (I usually set my printer for all black ink, to save the color), from there I separate them into catergories. Appetizers, Desserts, Chicken, Breads etc..I keep them all in binders with separators marked with the different catergories. I have 3 binders full and continue to print almost daily!
What is the Topic of the Week?
The Topic of the Week, is to get ideas going and people to post! It is changed weekly. Every Saturday morning. It is only a suggestion, there are no 'recipe rules' at MB's, post any recipe at anytime!
What is the best way to search for a recipe?
Unfortunately Yahoo does not have a search within clubs feature. The best guide would be to follow the Topics of the Week. I have a list of the Topics, dates and the post number they start at. If anyone is interested in the list....look at the link below.
How do I access old messages?
If someone posts about a specific recipe/message that you would like to view, go to "messages" on the left of the club homepage. From there you can type in the number of the post in a box at the top of the page. Or there are also boxes available to type in the numbers under every message.
