IMPROVED HEATING SYSTEM

Stigs version to: get enhanced efficiency out of our heating systems.

Let me state this: Energysaving is useful evrywhere around the world But in some places there is more need for chilling rather than heating. Cooling is dealt whith further down the pages.

Saving energy means improving our environment too, so the reason is twice as strong.

When I was installing solar heating systems, I acheved a savings ratio from 10% up to 30% when I combined the solar heatingsystem whith a balanced adjusting of the initial heating system.

Energysaving is carried out in different ways, the house insulationing is most important, because it improves the indoor climacy both in hot and cold wheather.
Insulation improvement is a major and expencive operation, and should be done in conjunction whith another restoring operation in order to reduce cost.

If we add renewalble energy endlessly, we still will not see a remarkable cut in our oilconsumption, as long as we donīt start saving the energy as well.

We need to implant an intelligent technology both in architecture and control system, and this is equally important, and thatīs what I will talk aboat now.

To get heating economically, there is three keywords: The energy shall be on the right spot, and in correct amount, and just in time.
Efficient heating means a hydronic heatsystem period. The reason is that water is the most effective and cheapest media for storing and distributing thermal energy.

Thatīs about that, i.e. thatīs about using the energy, but now we want to get hold of cheap energy as well. We simply have to look around, and find out whatīs available.

In tempered areas, such as Dayton US, a drilled hole in the ground, togeather with a heat pump will reduce the purchased energy by twothird, and give a good cooling in the summer as well.
The cost reduction may be different outside Sweden, as I know nothing of your parameters.

HEAT SYSTEM USING MAIN FRAME TECHNIQUE
I would like all heating to be hydronic, because water has the highest specific heat capacity.
A good heat system is composed of an accumulator containing water, "heat dispatcher". Then you can add different sources of energy supplying the acc. such as a wooden stove, a heat pump, solar heating aso.
The task of the accumulator is to level different needs, between day and night, as well as to store any free incoming energy at any time, (for example solar heating).
A control system will maintain a minimum temperature for the comfort in the house and supply heat "on the right spot, in correct amount and just in time". For the shower you will need higher temperature, and this will be done whith a small, well insulated, electric boiler in cascade with the accumulator.
The system above is very cost effective.
So far, we have planned a good heating system, BUT, we need energy sources too.
A small hydraulic stove will be handy as backup.
Now, you can use solar heating, windenergy, or whatever you like.

If you use hydraulic floorheating, and use groundenergy from a drilled hole thru a heat pump, you have in my view the ultimate base for a heating system.

I canīt cover all possible technologies in the homepage, because it would end up in a massive bunch of pages, heavy to read, not to mention heavy to write, so this is only samples of ways. But I would be glad to give you more upon request.
