Sometimes
Hail, Hail
Who are You
In My Tree
Smile
Off He Goes
Habit
Red Mosquito
Lukin
Present Tense
Mankind
I'm Open
Around the Bend

Sometimes
Large fingers pushin' pain
You're God and you got big hands
Colors blend
The challenges you give me
Seek my part
Devote myself
My small self
Like a book amongst the many on a shelf
Sometimes I know
Sometimes I rise
Sometimes I fall
Sometimes I don't
Sometimes I cringe
Sometimes I live
Sometimes I walk
Sometimes I kneel
Sometimes I speak of nothing at all
Sometimes I reach to myself
Hear God

Hail, Hail
Is there room for both of us
Both of us apart?
Are we bound out of obligation?
Is that all we've got?
I hear the words
And then I get to thinking
I don't wanna think
I wanna feel
How do i feel?
How do i?
Hail hail the only one
Will i never be enough then?
Hail hail the lucky ones
That are close to those who know them
Swore i'd love you till the day i die
Ah, and beyond
Are we going to the same place?
If so, can I come?
It's egg rolling thick and heavy
Ah the past we carry
Ah I could be new
You underestimate me
Hail hail the only one
Will i never be enough then?
Hail hail the lucky ones
I refer to those in love
I sometimes realize
I could only be as good as you'll let me
Are you woman enough to be my man?
Bandaged hand in hand
Like winding on a run
In a race that can't be won, yeah
All hail the lucky ones
That are close to those in love
If you're my only one
Suppose you will live huh?
I want to be your one
Enough
You won
Your one
Your one

Who You Are
Come to send not condescend
Transcendental consequences
To transcend where we are
Who are we?
Who we are
Trampled moss on your soul
Changes all you're a part
Seen it all
Not at all
Can't defend the command
Stay for awhile before we leave
Circumstance
Clappin' hands
Guiding winds
Happenstance
Off the track in the mud
That's the moss
In the aforementioned verse
And the wind
There's little time
Before we leave
Stop light plays its part
So I would say you've got a heart
What's your part
Who you are
You are who
Who you are

In My Tree
Up here in my tree, yeah
Newspapers matter not to me, yeah
No more crowbars to my head, yeah
I'm trading stories with the leaves instead, yeah
Wave to all my friends, yeah
They don't seem to notice me, no
I arrested on the street yo, oh
Sidewalks, cigarettes and scenes
I feel so awesome touché
I feel so hot
The sky is gray
I'm so high
I hope this won't break
Keep it in my chest
Just like innocence
I remember then, yeah
Thought I knew everything when
What's he doing in a tree, yeah
There's no one around just like me, yeah
I'm so lucky with these shades
I'm so out of sight its great
Im so high I hold just one breath
Go back to my nest, sleep in it
I feel so high...great
I feel so high
The sky is great
And my eyes feel so wide open
And I gotta glimpse
Of my innocence
I fight my innocence

Smile
Don't it make you smile?
Don't it make you smile?
When the sun don't shine
Don't it make you smile?
Don't it make you smile?
Don't it make me smile?
When the sun don't shine
Don't shine at all
Don't it make me smile?
I miss you already
I miss you always
I miss you already, hey
I miss you all days
This is how I feel
I miss you already
I miss you always
Free cooking hot spurs all around
I miss you all day

Off He Goes
Know a man, his face seems pulled and tense
Like he's ridin' on a motorbike, in the strongest winds
So I approach with tact, suggest that he should relax
But he's always moving much too fast
Said he'll see me on the flip side, of this trip he's taken for a ride
He's been takin', too much on, off he goes
With his perfectly unkept clothes, there he goes
He's yet to come back, but i've seen his picture
It doesn't look the same up on the rack, we go way back
I wonder 'bout his insides, it's like his thoughts are too big for his size
He's been taken...where? I don't know, off he goes
With his perfectly unkept hope, there he goes
And now I rub my eyes, for he has returned
Seems my preconceptions are what should have been burned
For he still smiles, and he's still strong
Nothing's changed but the surrounding bullshit, that has grown
And now he's home, and we're laughing
Like we always did, my same old, same old friend
Until a quarter to ten, I saw the strain creep in
He seems distracted and I know just what is gonna happen next
Before his first step, he's off again

INDEX

Habit
See it happen to a couple of friends
See it happen and the message it sends
Taking off for what's an obvious fall
Just to see what all the fuss is about
It's not your way, not your way, its not your way
Another habit says it's in love with you
Another habit says its long overdue
Another habit like an unwanted friend
I'm so happy with my righteous self
It's not your way, not your way, its not your way
Never thought you'd habit - (3x)
I never thought you
Never thought you
Never thought you'd habit - (3x)
I never thought you
Never never thought you
Never thought you'd habit - (6x)
Speaking as a child of the 90's
Never thought you'd habit - (3x)
I never thought you
Never thought you
Never thought you'd habit - (3x)
I never thought you
Never never thought you
Never
Never me...never you...never me

Red Mosquito
Watched out the window, with a red mosquito
I was not allowed to leave the room
I saw the sun go down, and now it's comin' up
Somewhere in the time between
I was bitten, must have been the devil
He was just paying me, a little visit, reminded me of his presence
Letting me know he's waiting
Red man's your neighbor
Call it behavior
While your climbing up slippery hairs
Two steps ahead of him
Punctures in your neck
Hoverin' just above your bed
Hoverin' just above your bed
I was bitten
Must have been the devil
He was just paying me
A little visit reminding me of his presence
And let me know he's awaiting
He's awaiting
Hopin'
If I had known then
What I know now
And if I had known then
What I know right now
If I had known then
What I know now
If I had known then
What I know now

Lukin
Drive down the street, can't find the keys to my own fuckin home
I take a walk so I can curse my ass for being dumb
I make a right I pass the arches stinkin' grease and bone
Stop at the supermarket, people stare like I'm a dog
I'm going to Lukin's
I got a spot at Lukin's
I knock the door at Lukin's
Open the fridge, now I know what life is worth
I found my keys but I return to find an open door
Some fuckin' freak who claims I fathered my rape her one son
I found phoned my wife, I called the cops this day is never done
But last I heard that freak was purchasing a fuckin gun

Present Tense
Do you see the way that tree bends?
Does it inspire?
Leaning out to catch the suns rays
A lesson to be applied
Are you getting something out of this
All encompassing tree?
You can spend your time alone
Redigest in past regrets, oh
Or you can come to terms and realize
You're the only one who can't forgive yourself
Makes much more sense
To live, in the present tense
Have you ideas on how this life ends?
Check your hands and study the lines
Have you ever believed that the road ahead
Ascends off into the light?
Seems that needlessly it's getting harder
To find an approach and a way to live
Are we getting something out of this
All encompassing dream?
You can spend your time alone
Redigest in past regrets
Or you can come to terms and realize
You're the only one who cannot forgive yourself
Make much more sense
To live in the present tense

INDEX

Mankind
You'll be going out with radio
Going out with disco
Going out like bacchanal
I'll be going out with telephone
Going out alone
To the radar zone
It's all just inadvertent imitation and I don't mean mine
Its all across this nation
If it's all just inadvertent simulation a pattern all mankind
What's got the whole world fakin it
I'll be playing with my magazine
Using up my listerine
Like ovaltine
You'll be dipping in your battleship
For the latest tip
For the latest dream

I'm Open
A man lies in his bed in a room with no door
He waits hoping for a presence
Something anything to enter it
After spending half his life searching
He still feels as blank as the ceiling at which he stared
He's alive but feels absolutely nothing
So is he?
When he was six he believed that the moon overhead followed him
By nine he had deciphered the illusion
Trading magic for fact
And no tradebacks
So this is what it's like to be an adult
If he only knew now
What he knew then
I'm open...I'm open...
Come on in...come in...come in...come in...
I'm open...I'm open...
Come on in...come in...come in...come in...
Laying sideways atop crumpled sheets with no covers
He decides to dream
To dream up a new self
For himself

Around The Bend
I'm wishing you a well
Mind @ peace within your cell
Covers up, I cast you off
I'll be watching as you breathe
I lie still, you move, I send
You, off around the bend
I hold your head deep in my arms
My fingertips they close your eyes
Off you dream my little child
There's a sun around the bend
There's a sun around the bend
All the evenings close like this
All these moments that I've missed
Please forgive me most my dear
Please forgive and let be shared
Where's you around the bend
You're an angel when you sleep
How I want your soul to keep
On and on around the bend
