UPCOMING MEETS
Unfortunately, the summer
months are rather slow for Swim
Meets. Long Course pools are
generally fairly distant to us, but
here is a list of upcoming meets
you can consider:
Try to get to some of the meets when you can, and check your swim guide for more meets and details. Perhaps your family can use your vacation time to plan a trip which will involve a meet which is father away.

the voting will be coming up
soon. Don't be shy about it - if
you would like to help, let us

DOLPHA-THON MONIES ARE
EXTREMELY OVERDUE
If
you have Dolpha-Thon monies,
you MUST turn them in to
Treasurer Norma Cosiac NOW!
If we don't hear from you,
Norma will be sending a $25.00
per swimmer charge for those
swimmers which did not
participate per the Team
Guideline Rules... so rush those
monies in today.
SUMMER TEAM OUTING
Please keep these two dates
open: July 28th and August
18th. We are in the planning
stages of the team's free Summer
Outing. It will be on one of
these two days (details to be
announced) as soon as
arrangements are finalized with
Great America. Note that we
will also be advising you of a
date on the Swimmers vs.
Parents/Coaches Sports
competition currently in the
planning stages.

Summer has begun and thanks to the help of the swimmers and parents, our Pre-Comp Program is off to a great start. We have 53 swimmers in training and 6 new DCD Swimmers.
Mrs. Stember, Mrs. Corbelli, and Mrs. Calvo Y Perez helped with the registration and our awesome swimmers were here at 4:00PM to assist. Welcome back Coach Matt Rippberger, who came to help with the first week of Pre-Comps, and will fill in as needed during summer. Added to the staff this summer will be Kenneth Dolar, helping with the Pre-Comps is Melissa Wales in Catie's and Jose's groups.
The 6:00AM workouts are going well. We have 18 swimmers our first day and 14 the second day. Which is less crowded than our 4:30-6:30PM where we are averaging 75 swimmers per workout.
Congratulations to our 8th Grade graduates: Maria Calvo Y Perez is on to St. Ignatius; Rosa Castellon and Stanley Chen to Westmoor; Marc Soriano is on to Burton, and Justin Vergara will go to Serra.
Thanks to all our parent fund-raising efforts, the Summer Outing will be to Great America this year. A bus will be provided for transportation, but we are not sure of the date yet. Please keep two dates open: July 28th and August 18th. When we finalize the details we will let you know.
"Sports Night" is now moving closer to reality. We are planning a Pizza Party and then a competition between the swimmers vs. parents/coaches. This will be followed by a dance for everybody. See swimmers? We DO listen to you!
Don't forget the Swim Meets coming up: Tahoe Invitational (July 10-11-12); Age Group Championships at Independence High School (July 16-17-18-19); Zone 1 North A+ Meet at Los Altos (July 24-25-26); and ALL B SWIMMERS should go to the Mid Peninsula Mariners Meet at Serra High School (August 1-2).
Parents, we need you to complete and return the enclosed form to President Madelyn Banares before July 10th. If you, or anyone you know would like to be nominated for DCD Parent Board Member, please write their name, and circle the position they are interested in. We will be having elections soon.
