DOLPHIN REPORT
The annual DCD Thanksgiving Invitational Meet was another great success this year! The attendance was down from previous years due to a meet in Santa Rosa on the same weekend... but what we accomplished was huge. We had a one of the best swimmer turnouts ever; a record number of parents helping and donating their supplies and time to the meet; one of the largest raffle profits ever; and a good and charitable spirit throughout the entire meet. As Eric the pool man said, "I didn't have one problem this year". Well spoken!
In next month's newsletter, we will have the monetary results for this major fundraiser. Also, congratulations to Cara Savelli for winning the Meet Program Cover contest... $25.00 will come her way. All other fine entries received a new DCD swim cap honorable mention award.
December is one of our very busy times of year. PLEASE READ ALL THE NEWS! There are lots of news items in this letter, please note the following:
The Pool will be CLOSED on December 25th, 26th, & 31st for Christmas/New Year's Eve. There is no practice on those three days.
Parent Board Meeting is scheduled for Wednesday December 17th. If you have never attended a board meeting call President Madelyn Banares... we'd love to see you there!
Check out our NEW Daly City Dolphin Website! There's still lots to be done, but you can pull the page up at: http://geocities.datacellar.net/ Pipeline/1612 . On line you can visit team records, copies of our monthly newsletter (like this one), a message board, guestbook, parental forms, guides and manuals, helpful swim links, photos, and more still to come!
