Hey, pretty cool site! Platform pedals, logs, rocks, creeks, blood and beer. Mountain biking can be such a violent experience but it can also be one of the most serene events. It is so confusing. It's cool to see people riding in Indiana, this state has s me really killer trails you just have to find them. I'll let you in on our local trails that we're always building on here in Dyer. Take RT.30 west towards Illinois and turn left on Hart St. right before the border. Drive about a half mile and turn in eit er Chateau Woods or Autumn Chase subdivisions onthe right hand side. drive west towards the forest edge and park by an empty lot/retention area. Ride down the trail and look around for the tight singletrack. These trails have everything like creeks, logs, ollovers,ladder-bridges and jumps. They're not real long but they're fun on a dry day.

Over 5 miles of trails one way. Trails are on both sides of the creek westward. Area's best trails with undulating terrain. A parking lot is provided. A 30+ mile ride if one parks on the eastside of Kokomo and rides thru the Dam area and on to the SR#21 trails.

The landscape in southern Mighigan where I live barely gets my pulse going. I was out to Baltiore,MD for an doctors appt. in July, but I went riding in my spare time at the stat park I was camping at. There are supposed to be som great rides just west of Baltimore that I am going to hit next summer when I am out there. Thanks for providing your site

Hey Dane, nice site! I've been looking all over for good info. on riding in Indiana. I live in New Albany, IN. It REALLY stinks that some of our state parks block trail access to riders. However, I have found some areas where biking is sort-of allowed. Ki d of a "don't ask, don't tell" policy, so to speak. Email me and we'll chat. Do you hang out at MTBR? What is your "handle"? Nice site. Well designed and loaded quickly. Would really like to try, sometime, riding from Glenview (N Chi suburb) to South Haven, MI. Have big hole in the path, however, between the Museum of Science and Industry on S. side of Chi (actually, I think I know how to get as far as Hammond) and Indiana Dunes. Thereafter, I think I have a pretty good route via shoulder of 12 then Red Arrow an Blue Star highways in MI (plus some parallel routes to these that are more rural). Any suggestions?

Cool site. I'm glad someone is recording this info for hoosier bikers. I grew up in Indiana - left in '88. (rode the chilly hilly in 80, 81 and 82). I would like to see you include the towns where/near these trails, parks and lands reside. Also, are th y public or private. elevations would be nice, too. Oddly enough I've never been mtb in Indiana even though I spent 24 yrs there. When I was a teenager we would sneak our bmx bikes onto the trails of Turkeyrun statepark - I've been dreaming about riding my 'big bike' there for years... I've lived in Seattle for 4 years now. I can't even describe how cool it is to ride on public lands that stretch for thousands of acres and ride climbs of 2-3000 ft. elevation.
