CARRIT 2001
Tie Break Formula |
Ties in rankings are expected to occur. They will be resolved according to the following formula: |
1 - Each manager will be credited with the opponent's full points for a win, and half the opponent's points for a draw. |
2 - If this does not resolve the tie, and only two managers are involved, then the results of their head-to-head match will give the nod to the winner. |
3 - If the two managers had a draw, or more than two managers remain tied, then we will count wins by knockouts (KO's and TKO's). The highest count wins. The lowest count is dropped from the tie-break process. 4 - If a tie persists, then we will count the point differentials of all three judges (not commentator) for each win by decision. The highest point differential wins. The lowest point differential is dropped from the tie-break process. 5 - If a tie persists between two managers, we will rerun their head-to-head match until a winner is declared. 6 - If a tie still persists between more than two managers, we will go to elimination rounds, using the fp's for their head-to-head matches until a winner is declared. The pairings will be selected at random. The results of the elimination round will be used only for tie-break purposes and will not be counted in the overall tournament. |
