The Universe

According to quantum philosophy, the position, momentum etc. of a particle 
exists only as a probability field until it is fixed by an observation. Then 
there is an exact value.
	So too for other results, the constants, laws etc that scientists measure 
and formulate. A man called Newton found gravity by sitting in an orchard, 
watching an apple fall from a tree, but empirisists claim that the values were 
already there.

	Like carving a statue from a rock.

	According to Michael Angelo- "The shape was already in the rock, I just 
carved 	the rest away."

But a different man, with different eyes, would see a different shape, and carve 
away different pieces.

So if a man, not called Newton, had been sitting in a cave, watching a spider 
crawl up a wall, a different piece of ignorance would be carved away, leaving us 
with a different universe.

	But there was.
