Wisconsin Bouldering.

O.K., lets face it. There is no Hueco Tanks or Flountainbleau hidden in the woods of Wisconsin..Thats a fact. There is, however a few small bouldering areas that can keep us pad people happy for a little while. The main attention Wisconsin gets as far as bouldering is concerned is Devils Lake and Interstate park. If you really like the roped climbing at these places, then you'll like the bouldering also. The bouldering at Devils lake is just like the rest of the climbing there. If you like crimping on micro edges on vertical faces, Or trying to figure out some crazy- totally contrived problem above a crappy landing, then this is the place for you!

There is some really good bouldering at some of the smaller climbing areas in this state too. The BEST bouldering is at small sandstone areas that I can't tell you the names of. These places are all over the place. I wish I could tell you where these places are, but I'd be killed for doing so...so i'll just show ya some pictures and hopefully get you motivated to get out there and find some places on your own. Hey, I found all these areas so you can too. The best thing you can do is to keep your ears open when your out climbing. Good Luck.
