A pic of me on "Flight of the gumbies" 5.9+ at Butchers Branch. Luckily, this gumby didn't take flight on this route. This is one of the coolest 5.9's I've ever climbed. If you ever get the chance, climb this one!!
While we visited the New, it rained most of the time.
So, we spent alot of time in Fayetteville spending our money at Blue Ridge Outdoors ( One of the best climbing shops I've ever been to!) Nate and I both bought new rain jackets due to the weather. Here Nate is tesing his out near the visitors center.
This is Summersville lake. The wall is called Orange Oswald and has alot of super cool moderates like, "Baby got a bolt gun", and, "she got the Bosch, I got drilled" .
I really recomend buying a really good guidebook when headed to the new. If you need any shoes resoled, drop them off at the Frictin Fix below Blue Ridge Outdoors in Fayetteville. They had my stingers back to me in three days and they are better than new!
