ACT V: MANTUA-VERONA, ITALY
- SCENE i: A street in Mantua on Wednesday afternoon.
Balthasar, Romeo's servant, brings the sad news of Juliet death to Romeo, who is instantly shocked with surprise, remember Romeo still does not know about the Friar and Juliet's plan about the fake death. So Romeo goes into the city of Mantua and to an apthecary, who is kind of lik ea drug dealer of our time, and buys a poison to kill himself.
- SCENE ii: In Verona in Friar Lauerence's cell on Wednesday afternoon.
Friar John who was supposed to delivery the plan of Juliet's fake death, was to pick up another friar to accompany him to Mantua. But the other friar was sick and they both got delayed, so the letter has not been delivered. Friar Lauerence now goes alone to wake up Juliet and he also sends another messanger to Romeo.
- SCENE iii: A churchyard in Verona on Wednesday night.
First Paris arrives to morn for Juliet, and then Romeo arrives to also morn for Juliet. Paris who is angry to see Romeo, and thinks that Romeo was going to rob graves or some villianish crime, so he starts to fight, and Romeo kills Paris in that sword fight! Romeo then puts Paris beside Juliet's tomb and drinks from the vial he had purchased from the apothecary. Then Friar Lauerence comes to wake up Juliet, after waking up Juliet sees Romeo bodies and tells the friar to leave and so he leaves. Then Juliet tries to drink the poison Romeo had but she could not find any, then she kisses Romeo's lips hopping there may be some poison left on his lips, but she can not find any there either. Finally she sees the dagger Romeo is carrying and she kills herself. Then everyone arrives, the Montagues and Capulet's family arrive, friar explains the plan about the fake death to the Prince of Verona and tells everyone the whole story. Then both the houses settle their differences and became friends.
