Michigan Stags Memories

I was from Detriot so I am a Wings and Stags fan. I went to 5 Stags games . 4 in Detroit and there last game as the Stags in Cleveland. Small attendence and the fools at the WHA schedule makers did the Stags in. If the league had brought in Houston with the Howes early in the season the Stags would have more people come to a game and had more support at home. My first Stags game was Dec. 12 1974 vs. the Jets. Only about 2,000 fan were at the game and the word was out that they might not be in town very long . The Stags won that game. My next game was vs. the Crusaders Dec 19. Stags won 1/0 . I also saw the last 2 home games . Vs. the Nords a lost and a win vs. the Jets. Me and a friend and his wife went to the last Stags game vs. the Crusaders on Jan 18. Stags lost 2/1. If half the Stags collectors had went to a game the team would be in the NHL now.
