- Areas of the earth where the limestone is deeply disolved
- Most of the caves on earth are found in karst regions.
sinkholes
- A natural depression in the earth where cave entrances can be found.
live caves
- A cave with water dripping into it.

dead caves
- a cave that is dry which has no water
coming into it therefore no new formations
twilight zone
- The area from the mouth of the cave to as far as
you can see daylight.
crawling
- working ones way on hands and knees
bear-walking
- working ones way on hands and feet
belly-crawling
- working ones way with hands out front
and moving on ones stomache.
squeezing
- wiggling through an area with ones helmet
off it is so close.
chimneying
- using the sides of a close fit to work
ones way upward through an area.
