Hello All. I received a spyder compact in pieces. I was able to assemble most of it, with the exception of the front of the gun. My gun has the c02 relocated to the bottom of the grip...I cant figure out how to get the spring and rod that goes into the front of the gun in correctly, it is leaking co2 through the barrel... If you can help please email me. thanks.

Most of my Spyder's noise seems to come from the point where the link pin between the bolt and striker hits the gun body at the front of each stroke. Does anyone have a solution?

I AM BEGGINING TO BUY AFTERMARKET PRODUCTS FOR MY SPYDER ELITE. LOW PRESSURE CHAMBERS, LOW PRESSURE VALVES, ETC. I HAVE AN AIR AMERICA REGULATOR (VERTICAL MOUNT). I'M CONCERNED THAT ITS EFFECTIVENESS WITH CO2 WILL BE MINIMAL COMPARED TO OTHER REGULATORS DESIGNED FOR C02. EXCLUDING THE EFFECTS OF THE LIQUID, I CAN'T SEE HOW IT WOULD BE TOTALLY INEFFECTIVE, BUT I'M NOT SURE. DOES ANYONE HAVE SOME EXPERIENCED THOUGHTS ON THE MATTER.

Regarding Low Pressure vs. MaxFlow valve, I think the choice is clear. I recently bought a LP Spyder from AKALMP, and it has impressed me more than any other marker I've used. In my mind, a Black Widow Spyder from AKA is among the best markers available especially if you are running CO2. The concept between low pressure is simple. More Volume, less pressure = same velocity. This has many implications regarding the performance of the marker. First, it increases air efficiency, especially in cold weat er. Second, it flattens the trajectory of the paintball, because of a smoother acceleration in the barrel. Also, it allows the marker to perform more smoothly and last longer without wear. Last but not least, it quiets the marker CONSIDERABLY. Also, regarding the Jacko Infinity Barrel... I had an Angel, which comes stock with an Infinity, and I did not like it at all. The bore size is too large for most paint, the porting is overdone (causing laughable air efficiency and range), and the thread are poorly aligned, causing the barrel to come loose during intense firing. About the Contoured grip for a Spyder... 1st, buy a .45 grip frame if you don't already have one. I recommend the benchmark frame because of its low price but high durability and easy installation. Then, buy a Hogue Wrap-around Grip from Skan-line, Nati nal Paintball Supply, or just about any paintball store/supplier. The grip itself costs between $10 and $15. A benchmark .45 grip frame costs about $25. Also, once you buy the .45 grip frame, the choices of grips are unlimited, so if you see one that y u like, chances are you can buy it for your gun.
