DAHLBERG DIVER

Originally tied by Larry Dahlberg to entice American large and smallmouth bass, the Dahlberg Diver has found favour among many Australian anglers. This fly is particularly useful in the tropical rivers and billabongs of northern Australia. Barramundi, saratoga and mangrove jacks are all prone to the popping Dahlberg along with a wide variety of other species.
As this fly floats at rest and dives whilst being retrieved it gives a good imitation of a wounded baitfish. Basically ringing the dinner bell for most predatory fish. It is also effective around floating debris and structures where fish like trevally, mahi mahi and queenfish abound.
