THE KLINGON

This sailfish fly was named for its ability to stay lodged in the hard beak and mouth area not because of its unruly warlike disposition. (Star Trek fans will understand that one.) This fly was designed by Peter Morse in conjunction with Danny O'Sullivan and Alan 'Fish' Philliskirk as part of their multi winning Broome International Fly Tournament strategy. The Klingon is tied to represent the tuna belly flap teaser widely used in the tease and switch method (see Sailfish in my SPECIES section). This method has become the standard method for taking sailfish throughout Australia and most of the world.

This Klingon, tied by Peter Morse was the fly I used to take my first sailfish.
