We have about 25 members that fly a wide variety of aircraft: Control line, trainer, sport, and scale planes, jets, and helicopters. Our club meetings are held at the Water District's office at Lake Bob Sandlin on the first Tuesday of each month. During Summer, we typically have the meetings at the field so we can fly also. The field is located beside Lake Bob Sandlin in Mt. Pleasant, Texas. Click here for a map. Club members receive a monthly newsletter called PropWash.
We have excellent facilities to offer all types of pilots. Our asphalt runway is 500 feet long by 30 feet wide. Perfect for your jets. For the control line pilots, we have a separate large area on the West side of the field. And for the helicopters we have a concrete pad at both the North and South end of the field to practice hovering and the sky's the limit for the more advanced.
We have 120 feet of awning with a concrete floor to provide shade in the hot summer days. Provided under it are four attached tables and one that can be moved. Also we have several convenient electrical A/C outlets you can use to charge your batteries. Perfect for those who fly electric aircraft.
