About the images

I do this because I love photography and boating with equal passion. It's all about the love and certain tax benefits. If I was trying to make money I would shoot princess weddings and take Daddy to the cleaners.

When I aim my camera at a boater I'm thinking about one thing -- creating a strong image. Some of these shots are cookie-cutter standards like you'll see almost anywhere. Other times I try to push the artistic envelope to create a unique vision of our sport.

The photographs are made with Nikon cameras and lenses on Fuji professional films. All color work is done at the best lab in the Washington metro area, Penn Camera. It costs a little more than Wal-Mart, but it's worth it. I print all Black and White photographs myself on your choice of resin-coated or archival fiber-based paper.

The fine print: All photos are copyright Jeffrey Moag. No images may be used without explicit consent of the photographer. Non-commercial web sites may use these images if they include a photo credit and link to this site, but please ask first. Sorry about those annoying pop-ups but that's what you get for me being cheap.
