Before I continue, I must tell you that this PPV was sub-par. They did set up some interesting angles and everything, but the matches weren't really that great.
Val Venis vs. Jeff Jarrett
Venis did one of his best "Hello, ladies" jokes. "California, here I come!" Before the match starts, Kaientai comes to ringside, but they're quickly ejected by WWF officials. Yamaguchi San sneaks over and does some announcing with JR and Lawler. On to the match. Venis looked a little rusty for some reason. Too rigid. Lee argues with ref on the ring apron, Venis pushes Jarrett into Lee, knocking him off. Venis rolls up Jarrett for the victory. Jarrett jobs to Venis? Oh my god. Yamaguchi says that on RAW, he has a surprise for him.
D-Lo Brown w/Godfather vs. X-Pac w/Chyna
Best match of the night. Chyna gets into an argument with the referee. X-Pac runs into the rops and Godfather hits him in the head. X-Pac returns the favor, but afterwards D-Lo catches him in the Sky-High (jumping powerbomb) and pins him for the victory.
Faarooq/Scorpio vs. Terry Funk/Bradshaw
Before the match, Funk announces that this will be his last WWF match for a while (possibly 6 months). Bradshaw gets angry with him, and he takes out his frustrations later. Here's the match....Scorpio hits Funk with a 450 Splash, pinning him. Afterwards, Bradshaw beats up Funk, Scorpio, and Faarooq (with a chair).
Vader vs. Mark Henry
Henry hits Vader with a big splash from the 2nd rope and pins him for the victory. Nuff said.
Paul Bearer/Kane/Mankind interview
Paul says that the Undertaker is not here tonight. The New Age Outlaws come out and challenge Kane/Mankind to a match on RAW, and then attack them.
LOD 2000 vs. DOA w/Paul Ellering
LOD hit the Devastation Device on DOA, but the pin is broken up by the other member of DOA. Ref is distracted, and the illegal member of DOA hits Animal with a DDT, pinning him for the victory.
Vince McMahon interview
If the Undertaker doesn't show up tonight, his replacment will be the Brooklyn Brawler!!
DUNGEON MATCH (takes place in the Hart family "Dungeon")
Ken Shamrock vs. Owen Hart
Special Referee: Dan Severn
Good match. Moves included a huricanrana by Owen with an assist from some pipes that were overhead, numerous slams into the walls, and Shamrock getting his head put through the ceiling! At the end, Shamrock accidentally knocks out Severn. Owen uses a barbell as a weapon, knocking Shamrock out. He then puts him in a submission hold, Severn sees it, and declares Owen the winner.
INTERCONTINENTAL CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH/BEST OF 3 FALLS
Triple H w/Chyna vs. The Rock (Intercontinental Champion)
First fall goes to the Rock. D-Lo tries to interfere, but Triple H stops him, hitting him the European Championship belt. As he turns around, the Rock hits him with the Rockbottom. Second fall goes to Triple H. Ref is knocked out, and Chyna DDT's him on a chair, allowing Triple H to pin him. At the end, Triple H uses the Pedigree and is about to win, but the time limit expires and the match is decalred a draw. Afterwards, the NOD and DX fight.
BIKINI CONTEST:
Sable vs. Jacqueline w/Marc Mero
First, Jacqueline reveals her ultra-skimpy bikini. Close up of her, and her right chest pops out!!! Sable then reveals her's, but she has a shirt on. She says that Vince told her to wear something conservative, but she pulls it off and reveals "hand" pasties! Crowd goes nuts. Vince comes in and puts his jacket around her and whisks her away.
TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH:
Steve Austin/Undertaker vs. Mankind/Kane
Not that great of a match. Then again, I'm not a big fan of tag team matches as main events. UT sporting some cool new theme music, and some new championship belts. UT tombstones Kane and pins him so that Austin and UT are the new tag team champions. After the match, UT leaves with both belts.
