1. Defazzio vacates the belt in '71 upon his retirement.

2. Estrada defeats Tony Garea for the title.

3. Fujinami vacates the belt in '81 when he is moved up to the heavyweight division.

4. The original Tiger Mask (Satoru Sayama) defeats Dynamite Kid for the title.

5. Tiger Mask defeated by the original Black Tiger, Mark Rocco.

6. Belt vacated on 4/3/83 when Tiger Mask suffers an injury. Dynamite Kid and Kuniaki Kobayashi wrestle for the vacant belt, but there was no winner decided. 7. Tiger Mask defeats Fishman, vacates the belt on 8/12/83 upon retirement.

8. Dynamite Kid defeats Davey Boy Smith on 2/3/84 and the Cobra on 2/7/84, but vacates the belt in 11/84 when he and DBS jump to All Japan Pro Wrestling. The WWF takes over Georgia Championship Wrestling in 7/84. Les Thornton - then the NWA World Junior Heavyweight Champion - defends as WWF Junior Heavyweight Champion for a few WWF shows until the title is abandoned.

9. Cobra defeats Black Tiger for the title.

10. Cobra vacates title on 10/31/85 when New Japan Pro Wrestling and the WWF split.

11. Sano defeats Rick Martel at a Super World Sports show. The title is abandoned when SWS folds in 6/92.
