Rikishi/Too Cool vs. Kurt
Angle/Edge/Christian
Before the match starts, Angle announces that he's
considered "All That" by teenage girls. Edge and
Christian unveil their new pose for Louiseville, Kentucky: The
Junk Band. All three dress up as rejects from Hee-Haw, complete
with really bad teeth. As for the match, the crowd was really
into it, especially when Grandmaster Sexay almost loses his pants
during an in-match dance! Rikishi manages to get in a "Back
that ass up" on all three opponents in the same corner,
followed by a Stinkyface on Angle (sorry about that, Andy).
Scotty then follows that up with a Worm on Edge. As the ref is
distracted, Christian hits Rikishi with the ring bell and Edge
pins him, but the ref is still distracted. Sexay hits Edge with a
Hip Hop Drop and Rikishi pins Edge. Luckily, the ref is now
un-distracted and counts the 3. Rikishi and Too Cool pick up the
victory.
Triple Threat Match
for European Championship:
Eddy Guerrero (c) vs. Perry Saturn vs. Dean Malenko
The crowd wasn't really into this match. I was,
but then again, I'm a fan of all the Radicalz. There was a small
section of the crowd that was chanting "Eddy!" The
highlight of the match was a three-way belly to back suplex, with
Saturn coming out on top. At the end, Chyna tried to hit Malenko
with a boquet of flowers, but he grabs them and throws them on
the mat. Chyna trips Malenko, and he lands face-first into the
flowers. Guerrero pins him and retains the championship. We later
find out that there was a lead pipe in the flowers.
No Holds Barred, Falls
Count Anywhere:
Shane "Simba" McMahon vs. Big
Show
Very good match. Shane was manhandled at the
beginning, but he got help from the Big Bossman, who was
powerbombed by the Show. T&A then run in with chairs, but the
Show punches the chairs into their faces, denting the chairs!
Trish Stratus then tries to attack the Show, but is chokeslammed
over the top rope into T&A. On the stage area, Bull Buchanan
attacks the Show with a nightstick. Shane McMahon pushes a very
large amplifer on the Show's leg, and then smashes a cinder-block
over his head, and then pins him for the victory. The Show was
taken away in an ambulance.
Submission Match for
Intercontinental Championship:
Chris Benoit (c) vs. Chris Jericho
Another great match. Usually these submissions
maches are boring, but this was 3 1/2 stars. Benoit even ripped
off the turnbuckled to expose the steel, and actually used it
effectively! As Jericho tried to apply the Walls of Jericho,
Benoit hits Jericho with his knee brace (which was ripped off by
Jericho during the match) and applies the Crippler Crossface.
After a few minutes in the hold, Jericho passes out. The ref
awards the match to Benoit.
Tag Team Table Match:
D-Generation X vs. Dudley Boyz
Pretty good match. First, D-Von is pumphandle
slammed through a table by Road Dogg. Buh Buh then poserboms
X-Pac through a table. Road Dogg is then 3Ded through a table,
but the ref was distracted, so it didn't count. Finally, Buh Buh
tries to powerbomb Tori through a table, but Gerald Brisco saves
her. X-Pac then hits Buh with an X-Factor off the top rope
through a table. DX wins. Afterwards, Brisco is then 3Ded through
a table.
60 Minute Ironman
Match for WWF Championship:
The Rock (c) vs. Triple H
Results: Excellent match, that kept the audience
interested in it throughout the match. Here are the decisions:
At this point, all hell breaks loose. The McMahons try to interfere. DX then runs in and attacks the Rock as Shawn was on the outside of the ring. Suddenly, a special "Judgement Day is Now" video is shown on the Titan-Tron - THE UNDERTAKER has returned! He's riding a Harley and sporting some new biker clothes. He attacks DX, and chokeslams X-Pac and Triple H (which Shawn Michaels sees). He then Tombstones Triple H. Shawn then says that the last decision goes to Triple H by DQ (Taker chokeslammed), so the winner of the match and new WWF Champion is Triple H.
