King of the Ring - Semifinals:
Hardcore Holly vs.
X-Pac
X-Pac wins this one by DQ when
Holly hits X-Pac with a chair. After the match, he says that he's
the big shot, and that he hasn't forgot about the Big Show.
Big Show vs. Kane
Pretty good match. After the
ref is accidentally KOed by the Big Show, Holly runs out and
tries to hit the Big Show with a chair. But Kane stops Holly and
chokeslams him! Kane then blatantly chokes Big Show for a long
period of time. He then hits him with a chair and pins him for
the victory. Kane advances.
Mr. Ass vs. Ken
Shamrock
Shamrock was injured during
the live HEAT that aired before the PPV by Steve Blackman. After
getting beaten on by Mr. Ass for some time, the ref decides to
end the match and award it to Mr. Ass.
Road Dogg vs. Chyna
w/Triple H
Chyna really beats the Dogg
up, with the help of Triple H. Shawn Michaels then puts a stop to
Triple H. Chyna then tries to hit Dogg with a low blow, but she
hurts her arm on his privates!!!???!!!! Dogg is wearing a metal
protective cup! He then gives her a pump handle slam and pins her
for the victory.
Brood w/Gangrel vs.
Hardy Boyz w/Michael Hayes
Great match. You gotta love
Edge when he performs his version of the spear. This match was to
determine the #1 contenders for the WWF Tag Team Championship, so
the competiton was fierce. After Gangrel accidentally spits his
"red liquid" into Edge's face, Jeff Hardy pins Edge
following a neckbreaker. Hardy Boyz win.
Vince McMahon
interview
He says that Shane can't
wrestle tonight because of what Ken Shamrock did to him on HEAT,
so he's found a suitable replacement.
King of the Ring - Semifinals:
Mr. Ass vs. Kane
After the ref is KOed (again),
the Big Show runs out and hits Kane with a chair. Mr. Ass then
pins Kane for the victory.
X-Pac vs. Road Dogg
The battle of the current
D-Generation X members. Quick match. X-Pac wins with the
X-Factor. After the match, the two hug in the ring, and Dogg even
holds the ropes open for X-Pac.
WWF CHAMPIONSHIP
MATCH:
The Undertaker (champ) w/Paul Bearer vs. The Rock
Another typical Championship
PPV match. They fight all over the building, yada yada. After the
ref is KOed (bad night for refs) twice, the Undertaker gets a rag
that is soaked in ether, but the Rock grabs it and uses it. But
then, Triple H runs in and gives the Rock a pedigree. The
Undertaker then Tombstones the Rock and pins him for the victory.
In the back, we see Shawn Michaels ejecting Triple H from the building. Vince says that he was his partner for later on. Vince then makes a phone call to someone, saying to get back to the building.
King of the Ring -
Finals:
X-Pac vs. Mr. Ass
Rather quick match. Mr. Ass
focused his attack on X-Pac's neck thorughout the match. He
finally pins X-Pac with a Fam-Asser off the 2nd rope. Mr. Ass is
the 1999 King of the Ring.
Vince interview
He introduces his partner for
the main event: Steve Blackman. Blackman? It turns out that he's
a hired gun for Vince, that's why he attacked Shamrock. But then,
on the TV, we see a new installment of GTV - Shane and the Mean
Street Posse, saying how they fooled Shawn into believing he was
hurt. Shawn then orders Shane to wrestle, and for Blackman to
leave the arena!
LADDER MATCH FOR
CONTROL OF THE WWF:
Steve Austin vs. Shane & Vince McMahon
Crazy match. Austin dominated
the two for most of it. He even went so far as to dump the
entrance-way (which was made up of at least 10 ladders) onto them!
In the ring, as they're trying for the briefcase (which was
holding the stock and Austin's CEO title), it begins to move. As
Austin goes for it, it raises higher. When Vince or Shane goes
for it, it's lower. As Vince and Austin are on the ladder trying
for it, Shane knocks the ladder over, dumping both Austin and his
father onto the mat. Shane then climbs the ladder and grabs the
briefcase for the victory.
