Smackdown started out this week with the Faction coming out.  Triple H talked about the big Main Event on Sunday and how the world title is the most important thing in his life.  How about your wife???  Vince took the mic and gave us a preview for Sunday with him, Shane and HHH taking on Rock, Taker and Kane tonight on Smackdown.

Shane is trying to leave, but Triple H convinces him to stay.

Lita and the Hardy Boys took on Trish Stratus and T&A in a mixed tag team match.  Great match, because we had twice as much T&A as usual.  Towards finish the match, Matt and Lita both did the twiste of fate on Test and Trish, then as the ref was distracted Lita hit a leg drop off the top rope, but was hit from behind by Albert who rolled Trish over to get the win!

Christian, w/Edge vs Grandmaster Sexay, w/Scotty Too Hotty
Edge and Christian came out dressed as two fat Elvises and said that Memphis is just like Elvis...dead. This was a real high flying match. In the end, the ref was distracted by Scotty, Edge comes in and hits Sexay with the bell.  He just got out only to hit Christian with the belt getting the win.

Eddie Guerrero w/Chyna takes on Big Boss Man for the Euro Title.
During the match, Bossman kept looking at Chyna. Then, Eddie went to the top rope, but was caught by Bossman who sidewalked slammed him. Chyna then distracted Bossman and got him to go outside where he punched her. As the ref was distracted, Val ran in, grabbed Bossman's night stick and hit Eddie with it. Bossman climbs back in and nearly gets the three, but Chyna hits Bossman with the belt, DQ-ing Eddie.

Rikishi took on Chris Benoit for the IC Title.
Another competitive match. In the end, they were both reversing each others moves. Rikishi went for the Rikishi driver, then Benoit tried to counter with crippler crossface, but Rikishi countered that into a belly to belly suplex, great series of moves. Rikishi goes to the second rope and does the Rikishi Drop and wins! Yeah, can you see my excitement, Rikishi is the new IC champ.  Beniot then goes nuts and hits the Big Man with a chair, then putting the crossface back on him.

Jericho vs. Holly
During the match Stephanie comes out and she tries to interfere, but Chris Jericho wins anyway with his lionsault.

The Kat and Taka vs. Dean Malenko and Terri.
Before the bell rung, Dean Malenko took out Taka, leaving the Kat against both Dean and Terri. Meanwhile, Jerry Lawler had enough seeing this was came in to save his "girlfriend", and even does good, he tags in The Kat who rolls up Terri for the win. Malenko after the match hits Lawler and Terri bronco busters him...which the King liked!

Road Dogg, w/X-Pac and Tori, vs. D-Von w/Buh Buh Ray Dudley.
The match was going back and forth, then while the ref wasn't looking X-Pac hit a bronco buster on D-Von helping Road Dogg get the win. After the match, the Dudleys were mad so they 3-Ded the announcer.

Gerald Brisco and Pat Patterson fight dressed as women in the womens locker room. Vince sees this is going on and he signs a Hardcore Title evening gown match for this Sunday.

Triple H, Shane McMahon and Vince McMahon vs. The Rock, Undertaker and Kane.
Vince said that before they faced the Faction, they have to face a series of opponents in a 6 man handicapped match. X-Pac, Bull Buchanon and Road Dogg come out and Rock, UT, Kane take care of rather easily. Vince then brings out another team, Edge, Christian and Kurt Angle. Bull, X-Pac and Road Dogg run in as well, but Kane, UT and Rock take care of them all of them. Vince then brings out a third set, of T and A with Val Venis. Then, all the previous teams ganged up on Rock, UT and Kane. T and A and Val suplexed Kane through a chair. UT was being worked on by Edge and Christian on the outside. Triple H, Shane and Vince worked on the Rock. HHH pedigreed Rock and Shane nailed a top-rope elbow smash and Vince did a People's Elbow on the Rock and scored the pin. Great ending, Vince is a genius and finally hisplan comes through!!!
