Notes
1. Graham/Tyler defeat Dick the Bruiser & The Sheik in the finals of a tournament.

2. Rivera jumps to IWA, forfeits his half of the tag titles.

3. Executioners stripped of the titles on 10/26/76.

4. Strongbow & White Wolf defeat the Executioners and Nikoli Volkoff/Tor Kamata in a 3-team tournament. Belts are vacated in 8/77 when White Wolf is injured by Ken Patera.

5. Fuji & Tanaka defeat Tony Garea & Larry Zbyszko for the titles.

6. Backlund forced to forfeit titles after winning the World Heavyweight Title.

7. The Samoans defeat Tony Garea & Rene Goulet.

8. King was unable to enter the US from Canada; Spot replaced him.

9. Sika injured temporarily after a 10-man tag match on 3/12/83; replaced by Samoan #3 (Sam Anoia).

10. Samoans continue to defend the belts after losing the, until the title change is aired on television.

11. Crush joins Demolition when Ax has some health problems.

12. Hart Foundation defeats Smash & Crush for the belts; lost to the Rockers on 10/30/90 in Ft. Wayne, IN. Match is never acknowledged on television; WWF President, Jack Tunney, announces that the decision was reversed due to one of the ropes giving away and falling off the turnbuckle during the match.

13. Belts vacated in 11/94 when Michaels and Diesel split up.

14. The Kid and Holly defeat Bam Bam Bigelow & Tatanka in the finals of a tournament to win the tag titles.

15. The British Bulldog substitutes for an absent Owen Hart. They are defeated by Shawn Michaels & Diesel, but the belts are later returned to Owen & Yokozuna.

16. Titles vacated on 2/15/96 when Billy Gunn undergoes neck surgery.

17. Bodydonnas defeat the Godwinns in the finals of a tournament for the vacant titles.

18. Michaels and Austin vacate the belts in 6/97.

19. Austin & Love defeat Owen Hart & the British Bulldog. Belts vacated on 9/7/97 due to a neck injury which prevented him from competing.

20. Headbangers defeat the Legion of Doom, Owen Hart & the British Bulldog, and the Godwinns in a Four-Corners match for the titles. 21. Kane doesn't show; Mankind unsuccessfully attempts to defend tag titles alone.
