The Paddling can be as easy as you make it. First before you go out on a big day(don't bother doing this on a small day, just go out)check out the conditions, where the waves are breaking least and then decide if it beyond your limits and the have fun.
Duck Diving is something that takes a lot of practice and takes a lot of time learning how to do. With the right instructions you can learn it fastest. First you need to focus on the wave coming then slid up on the board, then put your hands on the sides of the board and push down and and stay under for aslong as you can then come back up and keep paddling. It is going to take a while to get so don't get discouraged.
Prone Riding is the beginning to all bodyboarding. After you make it out after paddling and duck diving you are going to have to drop into something. Don't take the biggest wave that comes take a medium wave and get used to the waves. This is the biggest problem in big wave riding people take the biggest wave first and try to shrewd it up, you have to get used to the waves first before you have to shrewd it up. With Prone Riding you have to have the arm on the inside of the wave at the front of the board and the other on the other side. Good Luck.
The three sixty is a good move that can score a lot of points in a competion. To do a 360 you need ride up the face of the wave or you can do this after the wave has broken. Well when you go up the face of the wave you must slid up on the board and start to turn the board with force and spin forward and just keep the momentum going and hold onto the board and try to get the board to do a complete rotation. In the beginning use your hand to spin it is much easier. Then once you have that down try the harder way.
With a reverse three sixty you have to remmeber all of the things to do in the regular three sixty but you go different here. When you are about to spin after yo have slid up on the board you need to push the board towards the breaking part of the wave and just go with the momentun again.
Floater a move shared between surfers and bodyboarders. This is a fun move that can be scary but fun. First ride the wave on the line and then when the wave breaks ride the back of the wave just keep going strait when the wave breaks. Then pull off and get to the front of the whitewater. Keep practing and this can become an impressive move.
The Barrel Roll is another fun move to do while you are rding. With a barrel roll you need to know where you are on the wave. For the biggest barrel rolls you need to ride up the wavess right when the wave is going to break. Then just go with the wave and the roll and keep practicing to stay on the wave.
DropKneeis probaly my favorite things to do in Bodyboarding. This is another one of the moves that usually takes a while to pick up the knack of it. First you have to get the rythym of popping up. Once you have the rythym down of popping up then you got to get the leg around so you got one leg up one leg down and then you will be on your way to shrewding it up.
Dropknee 360 is another great move to do during the dropknee. First you have to master the dropknee before you start to try this move. Then once you are up in the dropknee stance you need to get a little speed, then throw you body weight to one side and try to keep going with it and stay on the wave.
The backflip is defintley the move for the more advanced and I am not at that stage of the the game now. Actually I have never really tried. To do a backflip you have to go straight up the wave directly into the wave when you start to pull air the you have to flip your body backwards and have enough momentun and speed to complete. When you are flipping, you have to hold on tight and tried to land it. Like I said I have no idea what happens the first couple of times so good luck. Also if you are a novice I defintley not recommend this. Stick to the basics and work your way up.
In my eyes this is what surfboards are for, but here is a picture anyway.
