Combination 1

Look over the left shoulder, towards 10 o'clock. Step out 45 degrees into left zenkutsudachi, thrusting shuto uke with the left hand, as if stopping an incoming punch by attacking the shoulder.

Combination 2

Look over the right shoulder, towards 2 o'clock. Step out on the opposite tangent to combination number 1, into right zenkutsudachi. Thrust shuto uke with the right hand, also as if stopping an incoming punch.

Combination 3

The attacker is now coming from 7 o'clock. Take the left leg behind into left zenkutsudachi. Block uchi uke with the left hand followed by gyakuzuki chudan with the right, oizuki chudan with the left.

Combination 4

Take the left leg across in front of the body, and turn back towards 2 o'clock, into right zenkutsudachi. Block uchi uke with the right hand, followed by gyakuzuki chudan with the left, oizuki chudan with the right.

Combination 5

Bring the right leg back into naihachiji dachi, pulling both hands in to both hips. Break tori's lapel grasp by bringing both hands up in front of the face, closed fist, and then bringing them down to break the grasp, elbows slightly outward.

Bring both hands back to the hips again, slide forward slightly striking ura-zuki with both hands to both sides of tori's ribcage.

Complete the combination by sliding forward, urashi, in the same stance, striking chudan gyakuzuki with the right hand.

Combination 6

Step out on the left leg into left zenkutsudachi, towards 10 o'clock. Block uchi uke with the left hand followed by gyakuzuki chudan, oizuki chudan.

Step the right leg round into shikodachi, facing towards 9 o'clock. Grip behind tori's head with the left hand, pull onto right empi.

Combination 7

Look over the right shoulder, towards 2 o'clock. Take the right leg back round into right zenkutsudachi, blocking uchi uke with the right arm. Punch chudan gyakuzuki, chudan oizuki.

Take the right leg back into right shikodachi, facing 9 o'clock. Once more, grip with the left hand behind the head and pull onto right empi.

Kiai on empi-uchi.

Combination 8

Look over the left shoulder, towards 6 o'clock. Take the left leg around into a long zenkutsudachi stance and block sieken gedan barai with the left hand.

Step forward with the right leg into a long zenkutsudachi stance, punching oizuki with the right hand. Draw the front (right) leg back into right cat stance, blocking slowly with the right hand, uchi uke.

Step the left leg up to the right leg, kicking fumikomi maegeri with the right leg. Land into right zenkutsudachi, blocking sieken gedan barai with the right arm. Punch gyuakuzuki chudan with the left hand, block uchi uke with the right arm.

Combination 9

Looking over the left shoulder towards 12 o'clock, take the left leg around into left zenkutsudachi, striking to tori's shoulder with shuto uchi. Imagine that the left hand is then behind tori's head and that your are pulling with the left hand down towards the ground, towards 6 o'clock. As you lean the weight back onto the right leg, block as if morote uke with the right hand, level with your right knee.

Step back up towards 12 o'clock, into right sanchindachi. Left hand comes round to the left hand side, elbow high, fist pointing upwards so that the palm faces forwards. Right arm supports the left arm, with the right fist making contact with the left elbow.

Pull the left hand back to the left hip as the right hand comes back open to the left shoulder. Strike shuto uke with the right hand to tori's neck, palm facing downwards. Pull both open hands back high, to the side of your head and then strike downwards to both sides of tori's neck.

Complete the combination by making a small "cupping" motion with the right hand - this may be considered as a strike underneath tori's lower mandible - followed by sliding forward, urashi, in the same stance and punching oizuki chudan, with the right hand.

Combination 10

Look over the right shoulder and turn into right zenkutsudachi, blocking right uchi uke. Step forward on the left leg into left zenkutsudachi, blocking left uchi uke.

Look over the left shoulder and take the left leg around towards 12 o'clock into left zenkutsudachi, blocking left uchi uke. Step forward on the right leg into right zenkutsudachi, blocking right uchi uke.

Combination 11

Step through on the left leg, into left cat stance, at the same time blocking ura uke with the left hand. Right hand comes back to the solar plexus, palm facing upwards. Perform kakate with the left and right hands.

Sharply pull both hands back towards the right hip, kicking right leg defensive maegeri.

Kiai on the mae geri.

Combination 12

Take the left leg back round into shiko dachi, facing 9 o'clock. Inhale as both hands are pulled back clenched to the hips. Exhale as the hands are slowly thrust out and downwards, as if double nukite to the inguinal crease (top of the leg, bottom of the pelvis).

End of Kata

Step the leftt leg back slightly and then follow back into heisoku dachi with the right leg. Bring the hands back into the yoi position.
