Juroku

Combination 1

Facing towards 12 o'clock, take the left leg out into zenkutsudachi, pulling both hands back to the respective hips.

Turn briskly into shikodachi, keeping the feet where they are. Double punch jodan oizuki, first right hand, then left hand.

Combination 2

Step forward briskly into left zenkutsu dachi, punching jodan gyaku zuki with the right hand, as the left hand deflects a punch over your right shoulder. Finish the deflection so that the palm is pointing towards the ground, directly above your shoulder.

Quickly pull both hands back to the right hip, fists closed and stacked, left hand over right hand.

Combination 3

With a quick movement of the feet, step forward into right zenkutsu dachi. Slowly, push the hands out as a double thrust, both hands open and facing upwards (fingers to the top) and forwards. Thrust the right hand out jodan, the left hand out chudan.

Combination 4

Quickly, step the left leg back into left kokutso dachi (back stance), still facing towards 12 o'clock, with the feet along the line between 12 o'clock and 6 o'clock. With a circular motion of both arms, block an incoming mae geri (from 12 o'clock) with gedan shuto uchi.

Combination 5

Stepping up on the left leg, turn towards 5 o'clock, into left neko dachi, blocking left shuto uchi (chudan). Step forwared into right neko dachi, blocking chudan shuto uchi with the right hand. (Same combination as found in Pinan Shodan)

Combination 6

Look over the right shoulder, turn towards 7 o'clock into right neko dachi, blocking chudan shuto uchi with the right hand. Step forward into left neko dachi, blocking chudan shuto uchi with the left hand.

Combination 7

Look over the left shoulder, towards 6 o'clock. Turn into left moto dachi, punching chudan gyaku zuki with the right hand. Kick chudan mae geri with the right leg, landing in right zenkutsu dachi.

Punch chudan gyaku zuki with the left hand, then kick chudan mae geri with the left leg. Landing in left zenkutsu dachi, punch chudan gyaku zuki with the right hand.

Combination 8

Slide the right foot forward (towards 6 o'clock) into right neko dachi, bringing both hands up, fists closed, in front of the face. As if breaking a lapel grasp, break sharply downwards and outwards with the elbows. Continue by sliding forward urashi in neko dachi, performing nibon jodan oizuki (double punch to the face), right hand first.

Kiai on the double punch.

Combination 9

Lean the weight onto the right leg, before taking the left leg behind, towards 11 o'clock, into left neko dachi. Block morote uke, chudan level. Step forward into right neko dachi, blocking morote uke also.

Combination 10

Look over the right shoulder, turning towards 1 o'clock into right neko dachi. Block chudan morote uke. Step forward into left neko dachi, blocking chudan morote uke.

Combination 11

Look over the left shoulder, towards 12 o'clock. Take the left leg around into left neko dachi, blocking jodan shuto ura uke with the left hand. Stepping the right leg up behind the left leg into kosa dachi (one legged stance), strike chudan tetsu into the palm of the left hand.

Place the right leg forward into right zenkutsu dachi, punching chudan gyaku zuki with the right hand followed by chudan gyakuzuki with the left hand.

Kiai on the final gyakuzuki

Step the right leg back slightly and then follow back into heisoku dachi with the left leg. Bring the hands back into the yoi position.
