MARILYN MANSON - Antichrist Superstar (6.7 on the Richter scale)

This album is cool, the first Manson CD I got. I know alot of you hate Manson and don't think it's metal. But I choose to add this because this is all about metal diversity. Antichrist superstar goes from thrashy type guitar riffs on Little Horn to slow brooding bass on Minute of Decay to catchy beats on The Beautiful People. This is being written now after the release of the new cd, Mechanical Animals. Personally I think Mechanical Animals sucks, but ACS (antichrist superstar) is definately worth getting. Each song has lyrical meaning, and although Manson has now entered the mainstream this cd is still good. Like all good metal it is pushing the boundaries of our perception of right and wrong, forcing us to think. This is not apathetic bullshit that appeals to the masses. Not everyone is gonna like it. But it's at least worth checking out. I like album art, I'm an impulse buyer. If something looks cool, i'm already 50 % sold. This album has cool art, not equal to WHITE ZOMBIE freaky cool. But kinda, spooky, depressing, cool. I can't really explain it. Now someone said there were 'deathmetal type songs' on this cd.. this I strongly disagree with and the person who said that is an idiot who knows nothing about music, but this is still a good cd.
