SEPULTURA - Arise (8.9 on the Richter Scale )

This has to be the most classic Sepultura album, many say Chaos AD but I beg to differ. Arise has all the qualities that one could hope for in a cd... sawing guitars, pulsing drums and thundering vocals. I was edging on rating this CD a 10, it is Sepultura's finest hour. Arise produced unforgettable tracks such as 'Arise', 'Dead Embryonic Cells', 'Altered State' and 'Infected Voice'. the Arise era to me was the peak of Sepul Sanctity. Everything just slotted together to make almost the perfect album. 9 tracks of teeth spitting angst. I bought this CD a few years ago and it was the CD that exposed me to metal. Now, metal is the only type of music for me. Pretty good for a cd that cost me $A12 ($7 US) at Cash Converters. The cover art is pretty fucking wicked too.
