He got this name because of his tendency to be pugnacious. He can be quite obstinate also. He loves to thump things, especially when drinking. Luckily, it's usually the table. Spend some time on his home page.

This is due to his propensity to talk, lecture and generally being noisy. Sometimes Lord or lizard is placed before Lips.

He tends to look on the dark side of things and overly worry about things. Hardy comes from the cartoon series Lippy the Lion and Hardy Har Har.

Lurch

This name comes from the Adams Family. Even though he is not silent like the character in the TV series, he tends to share the same outlook on life.

Doc

He looks just like Doc in the film Back To The Future. I think they both go to the same barber as well. He is a mad swimmer and recently placed third at a swimming contest. Not bad for a 50 year old who outswam people half his age!

He has the physical appearance of Jabber the Hutt in Star Wars. Also similar is the jovial laugh with belly rippling. Warning, do not go near him when he is drunk. He doesn't mind who he kisses.

Time Keeper

Self explanatory really. He's never heard of a watch or else he's never learned how to tell where the big and small hands are. It'll take you 30 minutes to walk 100 metres with him as he has to chat with anyone or anything in sight. He also loves a pint!

Chubaka

The hair is of a similar colour and length as the character in Star Wars. However the resemblance does not end there. The sound he emits when surprised, angry or frustrated is dead on with the hairy bloke.

(also known as Benedict)

Tall and you have probably got as much chance of hearing a giraffe make a noise as to hear him say anything. Kirin means giraffe in Japanese. A very quiet customer.

He's got the duck's disease and a full head of skin which makes him resemble the Star Wars character.

Named for his tendency to get his nuts in a knot about certain things. A time many years ago comes to mind when he got all excited at a MacDonalds because his so called fast food took 5 minutes to arrive.

Thor

He got this name because he sounds like thunder when he snores. No one and I mean no one within 100 metres of him can possibly get any sleep. He sounds like a jungle at night.

Vlad

Self named. However, rather apt. Vlad the Impaler terrorized his subjects in Romania many centuries ago.He liked to impale them on stakes. Makes you wonder about this bloke.

Not so much a lizard in looks as a lizard in behavour. As he says " I'm not for everyone". I remember the first time I met him and he did his lizard act and I not to be outdone did my Dingo act.

No not the singer. If he could play a musical instrument it would likely be a banjo. Even though he is from Ohio, he acts like he is from the Appalachians. Extremely right of Attila the Hun.

Badger

He kind of looks like a badger, thoughtful, intelligent just like they are portrayed in cartoons.

Foghorn

He can always be heard even from a kilometre away. Just like the Warner Brothers character.

Gorilla

(also known as Wilbur)

The way he addresses a golf ball have landed him this nickname. Similar to a Seppo.

Pinocchio

This name did not come about because of the size of his nose, but rather due to his propensity to tell whoppers. His nose should be about a metre long.

Hawk

This is a play on his first name, Takao. Taka means hawk in Japanese. Even though the kanji for Taka in his name does not mean Hawk, he still likes it and often finishes his e-mail messages with it. Since he is bald perhaps he should be called hage taka which means literally, bald hawk. This is a vulture in English.

Extro

This name is given for his outgoing nature. In fact, he could be deemed as the Chilean version of Lips. Los Labios!

Dingo

This is yours truly! The dingo comes partially from me being an Aussie, but mostly because I am well known to bite strangers just like the Dingo himself.

She got this name for the manner in which she swishes around the watering hole that we often frequent on Friday nights.

The name stems from the mannerism that she has of making a sound like a cow when I ask her a question in English and she does not understand.

He got this name as he likes to mix with the dear ol' French. He is fluent in the lingo as well. He used to speak English properly when he was a lad, but now he don't!
