Local H is a group (in fact a duo) that almost nobody knows of… The only songs you might have heard are "Eddy Vedder", "Bound to the floor" or "Fritz's corner" from their previous album "As good as dead". The duo is composed of Joe Daniels (Drums) and Scott Lucas (guitar, etc.). When you listen to their music, you see the influence of the mighty Nirvana and The Smashing Pumpkins. Review of Pack up the cats
Local H is one of my favorite bands these days and I was really waiting for this album to come out…… I would really like to see them if they ever come back to Montreal. Last time, they were on the first part of the Silverchair show. It is not only hard to see them live, I even had trouble finding their latest album…
Their latest album really rocks from the beginning with the song "All right (Oh yeah)" and continues all the way trough. The Nirvana background is still there but in a more "alive" way… The first single to come out of the album is "All the kids are right" I hope that they're not talking about their band because the lyrics starts with: |
All the kids are right (first chorus) You heard that we were great, Now you think were lame, Since you saw the show last night. You hope that we would rock, Knock and open knot (best guess) Rocking was no were in sight And it's never good when it goes bad No one likes to feel like they've been had It may be OK But you won't wear our T-Shirt now, anymore |
I hope that they will continue they're carreer for a long time because they certainly have something ahead of them… I hope people will learn about them and start enjoying they're music. The band has everything they need to be popular:
In the new album they start having they're own sweet-and-high kind of music. The beat goes along varying from a sweet ballad to an almost punk-rock song… The best thing is to check them out live in these real audio show:
