Eric's snowboarding page

I have been snowboarding for the past 10 years at Jay Peak. In this section, I will try to show you why Jay Peak is my favorite mountain in the east. With pictures and fact, my main goal will be to give you a taste of an extraordinairy place to discover. But to preserve Jay Peak's best spots, I will give no directions to where these pictures were taken on the mountain.

My Pictures

This is me riding on the top of the mountain on a spot called "The ridge". It is not often that you can ride "The ridge", usually you walk before dropping into "The saddle". This place is very steep and the powder is always there…

This is a little tree jumping in one of the numerous "unmarked" woods of Jay Peak. This place has the best glades in the east says Snow Country Magazine. I say, this place has the best snow and the best woods in the east…

This is a little drop in the woods (again), and remember, never ride alone. Jay Peak allows wood skiing as long as you follow their wood skiing policy. Always ride in groups of at least three and always wear goggles.

Me again launching from another secret drop! It's not a very big one (8 feet) but the fun is that you can make some nice moves and always have a smooth landing! Pray the powder god to grace you with a nice dump before your trip to Jay Peak!

Simple jump on the Northway. I cannot always be in the woods…

This is a small one. The picture was taken in the snowpark. Jay Peak's snowboard park hosts 2 boardercross races every year. See the Winter events at Jay Peak for more info.
