Royales should be learned after the frontside so to save space I am going to tell you the Royale, Frontside, and the Backslide all in one
To do a fronside first try stalling it as always. Then approach a low curb or bike rack at a moderate speed jump turn 90 degrees in air. Spot your landing and land in between your wheels.
To Royale do the same but roll your ankles so that the boot and frame are touching the curb or rail and keep most of your weight on your back foot. Also keep your shoulders square and your feet shoulder with or wider so you don't slip out.
Now the Backslide do a royale but before you land just grab your front foot and hold it when you land balance by bending you knee and grabing your front foot and you should grind it out.
