First day activities were winding down so it was time to fine the
camp site.
Ahhh... just in time for dinner and Tom's great cooking as well as a
warm welcome from some great aviators. |
This year I had a mission to attend as many forums, talks, and classes I
could fit in. Here I'm at a basic sheet metal riveting class.
I did make time to walk around and see what other builders are
working on. |
Got a chance to ask Dick Rutan a few questions about the rocket
powered Long EZ and if he was going for the X prize. |
Another week roughing it at camp Nagel's Flights End Cafe. |
Yes that's fresh shrimp ...its tough camping in the north woods. |
Staged and ready for the trip home. Now if the fog would only
lift we could takeoff. |
Three hours later I was on my way. Now to join up with Jim and
Merri in the Long EZ. A white and blue sport plane is going to hard to spot in these
clouds. |
There they are. I'll just pull up in formation then two fuel stops to Houston.
It was another great Oshkosh adventure.
