The Cryptozoology Collection
This many people have visited my cryptozoology page since July 4th, 1999
Description:
The word, cryptozoology, comes from a mixture of the Greek language. Crypt meaning literally "the unknown or thought to be deceased". Zoology meaning "the study of animals". So, all in all, cryptozoology is the study of unknown animals or animals that were thought to be previously deceased.
Cryptozoology effects every member of the human race, even though we may not know it ourselves. Almost everyone has heard campfire tales of the legendary Bigfoot, Loch Ness Monster, or the infamous Goatman. Those tales are meant to be scary, but I think that it's even more frightening when you realize how possibly realistic those fables are.
We, being intelligent life, are most likely not alone on this "greenhouse planet". It is probably home to many other species we are unaware of. After all, science has only recovered an estimated 85% of the mammal population, 75% of the bird population, 45% of the fish population, and an amazing 35% of insect population. Who are we to think that we are a solitary race of superior beings. Someday the truth will be revealed, and it will stun many.
