C-U skateboarding
Gliding weightless smooth cacophony of plastic on virgin pavement
Perfect peace with the world in milliseconds of snapshot orbit
Sick little shadow of flowing soul etched with the symbols of a name brand
Hypnotic spinning of molded plastic interrupted by a learned twitch of the feet
Summoning momentary flight free from the pressures and pains

2/17/99...
hey kids. i've got a pretty good ollie goin, figurin out the bugs, and the secret to a good ollie. basically do a karate kik when you jump i guess. i'm working on a popshuvit. except i have to do it backwards. so i guess ya call it fakie. anyways, i can land it, but can't stay on. still working hard. Peace, out.
heylow. it all started when... i started skating summer of '98 when i got to borrow one of my brother's friend's old boards. it had not tail, rose barely 2 inches off the ground, rode like a piece of sandpaper, and possessed an unrecognizable brand image on the bottom, but i made do. i rode the tip of the board, therefore going backwards. i suppose it took about 2 months for me to learn how to ollie well...(yaya, laugh, go ahead). but i was having so much fun doing it.
around the end of the summer, i bought a used stereo board for $30 from a neighbor and it rose a bit higher off the ground, rode a bit smoother, having a little bit more of a tail. i got to olly pretty good with this board, but one day, the bearings disintegrated. i dunno what i did, but the wheels just ate them up. therefore, i had no choice but to buy another....*sigh*
so on a trip to NYC over xmas break, i got meself a complete Maple board, maple wheels, and gullwing trux. prolly not the best deal i could've gotten at $115, but i had to go with it. so now, i await the thawing of the snow and prepare to see if i remember how to ollie. i'm learning the pop-shuvit from a friend...before unrealisitcally attempting to kickflip.
