How to get there:
(From the Street Directory: Map 1)
As far as I can recall, the park is beside Wynum Road in the Murarrie Recreational
Ground. There is a road that leads through the reserve area that goes right
by the skate park and there is no shortage of parking spots.

Things you should
know: So far, this is a very straight forward little place. The local council
are giving it a trial as is and possibly extending it in the future, (even
as much as twice its existing size) if nobody destroys or vandalizes it.
The park is triangular in shape with four things to skate on. 1: A flat
rounded bar a foot from the ground. 2: A small single hipped bank at the
apex of the triangle. 3: Something small and rounded which just looks like
a concrete bump where nothing else seemed to be good. 4: (saving the best
for last) At the bottom of the triangle, there is a small half pipe with
very tight transitions - even a bit of vert in one place - that hips onto
a quarter that faces the rest of the park. The back transition of the half
pipe has a bit of platform and then a facing the rest of the park is a
good size bank on the left and a quarter that runs almost to spine with
the half pipe. This is all put together on a concrete composite flat which
makes it very fast so there is no need to kick at all. When I went there,
they had not put in any water taps, shade or toilets, but there was some
construction going on near the park, so we can live in hope. All in all
it is a nice little place to have a few runs, but could get really hectic
when there are too many people there.
