Welcome to: Benny's Brisbane Skateboard Directory The site for skaters in Brisbane, Australia Compiled by Mark Brimson   *** Special note *** All photos on this page by: Matt Bailey     (click for full size image)   Crestmead Skate Park Grand Opening And Competition: 19 June 1999   * The opening of the new park at Crestmead went very well, the day being bright and fine, if not a little cold, but all things said and done, most of the competitors and spectators went home well satisfied. The Logan city council hosted the opening/comp so of course there was the usual introductions of official people and what not, and the comp was drawn out over most of the day with a seniors/juniors in not only skateboarding, but rollerblading and bmx riding as well. I will not go into the other areas of the day, but to get to the skating, there were people from all areas visiting and skating, making the comp well worth the skateboarding trickery that all waited for.   * The Watersports: Surf/Skate/Sail shop in Springwood was the driving force behind the prizes with the aid of Hardcore Dist. giving up the prizes - Globe Shoes - and other assorted items. The comp results went as follows:   Seniors   1. Issac Brown (Logan local) 2. Jay Musk (Sunshine Coast) 3. Ben May (Logan local too)   Juniors   1. Travis Meloni (Logan local) 2. John Dickinson (Gold Coast) 3.
