First
skate assessment, 1998: Now here is a park
with pretty much everything for the ramp enthusiast. There is not a grind
block or rail in sight, but you can choose from the vert ramp (10ft), the
mini ramp (5ft) and the piddle ramp (2ft) or just cruise around the mellow
hips and quarters of the main part of the park. I have heard of some upgrades
to be done, but not much more can be done to this place without it getting
too cluttered. Also, enjoy a night skate with the sensor lights covering
most of the place!
More
recent update, Oct 1999: There have been quite
a few new things put in there, rails down the side of the bank and what
not, but there is also a problem with the concrete to bitumen difference
- with the bitumen sinking (a common prooblem with a lot of the 1997 to
early 1999 skate parks). I have not been there myself for some time so
I do not know how true that is. Even so, the mini ramp (5ft) is one of
the best complete concrete ramps around for size, surface and general skateability.
