On
one of our little road trips out and about
a few years ago, we stopped in Warwick and found they had a bowl out in
the suburbs somewhere. When we got there, it was deserted, but clean so
we had a roll. As we were so eager to get out of the car and skate, no
one really looked at this place before we jumped in the deep end, so to
speak.
I
dropped in, then realised that there was no
real transition, just vert and flat with a small curve in between, and
promptly ended up on my knees at the bottom of the transition. Do not make
this same mistake I did, as this place is sooooo tight and nasty in the
curve department. Even the little end has vert and it is not even two feet
high. The big is not so bad once you get used to it, but when you are raised
on mellow transitions like I am, this place came as a real shock, and it
hurt. We didn't stay there long and no one really took any notice of where
we were so as to give directions to anyone else wishing to skate out that
way. Maybe we are saving you a few grazes...
